It's important to note that each home is different. The variety of services will also have an impact on pricing as well. Basic guidelines are given here, but please understand that these are estimates only, and the actual cost may be different from what is shown here. There are no taxes on our services in The State of Maryland, however, some products that we provide ARE taxable. It depends on the situation and whether or not the product is included as part of the inspection service, or you buy the product directly from us.
To maintain economic fairness in pricing, our fees depend on several factors. There is no one size fits all price.
The pricing is based on the square footage of the home. Then additional required testing such as radon testing, etc. must be factored in. Do you have additional buildings that need inspected? That has to be factored in as well.
With one size fits all pricing, the inspector will charge $300 for an 1150 square foot home and the same price for a 2500 square foot home. You only pay for how much house must be inspected.
On the other hand, some people only want the pool inspected. So the charge would be more, than if you had the pool inspected while the house was being inspected. The same holds true with septic dye testing and mold tests.
In all cases, whether the house is occupied or vacant, SOMEONE MUST BE PRESENT when the inspection is completed. Payment is expected at the time of service, or the report will not be completed until the fees have been paid.
